Barts and London Sailing Club

Barts and London Sailing Club was founded for staff at the two famous London Hospitals to enjoy yachting.

The club mainly comprises of Medical and dental students although Consultants have been known to frequent the club.

Burnham on Crouch was chosen as the venue for the club base and both hospitals had their own premises.

Developments in Burnham meant that the Clubs agreed the use of cabins at the Royal Burnham for their members.

In more modern times Club members also sail from London Docklands.

The Club own three lasers but often crew for other people.

They are known for a very active social life and have in the past been blamed for a lot of the high jinks during Burnham Week.
