Burnham Carnival Street Procession
Carnival has been in the blood of the residents for over a hundred years since a young man pushed a barrel of burning tar through the High Street starting tradition of illuminated processions continued to this very day
It is now recognised as one of the best carnivals in Essex partly due to its nighttime setting which provides the perfect backdrop for the colourful lighted tableaux and costumes.
Burnham Carnival Procession will
start at 7.30pm on the last Saturday in September from the Clock
Tower in High Street, Burnham on Crouch.
The procession will continues through
high street into Station Road and then turn right into
Devonshire Road ,Arcadia Road ,Dunkirk Road, Western Road,
Silver Road and back to the Clock Tower where the first floats
normally arrive back at about 8.45pm
