Burnham Listening Bench

The bench features audio clips that reflect the key parts of the town’s heritage, particularly due to its location on the River Crouch.

The audio clips are changed at intervals by local volunteers

 The bench was provided by the Essex Sounds operated by Essex record Office as part of our Heritage Lottery Funded project, You Are Hear: sound and a sense of place. Each bench plays a selection of clips from Essex Sound and Video Archive recordings .

Location

The bench is installed on the River Bank at  West Quay, near the entrance to Riverside Parkto the west of Burnham Museum.
